Abstract: Social inclusion has emerged as a fundamental principle of equitable development and democratic governance, particularly for indigenous and marginalized communities. The Lodha community, recognized as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) in India, has historically experienced social exclusion, economic deprivation, educational backwardness, and cultural marginalization. Although constitutional safeguards and numerous governmental welfare programmes have sought to improve their socio-economic conditions, significant challenges continue to impede their full participation in mainstream society. This paper examines the dynamics of social inclusion among the Lodha community by exploring the interconnected issues of identity, equality, education, livelihood, health, political participation, and sustainable development. Adopting a qualitative and descriptive research approach based on secondary sources, the study argues that meaningful social inclusion requires not only economic advancement but also recognition of indigenous identity, protection of cultural heritage, equal access to opportunities, and participatory development. The paper concludes that sustainable development of the Lodha community depends upon an integrated policy framework combining social justice, educational empowerment, livelihood security, gender equality, environmental sustainability, and community participation.
